    Rear Disco' seats.

Ok, thanks for that. I will have to install some sort of latch in the floor. Don't even know if they will fit. But I will get a seat and give it a try.

    Rear Disco' seats.

I am thinking about fitting two forward facing rear seats from a Disco' 2 into a SWB Landrover. I have been offered two seats from a breaker but the guy tells me that the brackets that they latch into cannot be removed. I am guessing they welded into the floor ?

Any advised please thinking of buying

I know someone with a Disco' Sport and he loves it. Pretty well equiped and does everything he needs and wants of it. Plenty of room in the second row seats but really only for children in the rear most. He had a gearbox issue which was software related and sorted under warranty. Given that, as...

    Auto boot on Discovery Sport

I guess the only way to be sure is to try them. If the securing cups will twist to locate then that only leaves the connectors ? I know they are both square but may have different keyways. Let us know how you get on.

    Auto boot on Discovery Sport

Are the struts handed ? Could you try the new strut on the opposite side. Unlikely both have failed at same time. Just an idea. Assume it does not work from two buttons on car or fob ? Only random thoughts but you could try the connections behind the boot panel. There are connections for the...

    Rover 3.5 in series LR

As others have said. Steve Parker, Rochdale I think, where the main supplier of conversion kits. It was a very popular conversion back in the eighties and 90's. R380 Gearbox and Salisbury axle along with uprated brakes are good things to have.

3 kids in seats in rear of FL2 - anyone managed this? Advice needed!

What What Old Bean ! :) Are you putting youngest in middle ? We found that best, as passenger can turn around to attend if needed and gave the older kids a bit more leg space.

    2011 Freelander 2 / LR2 / L359 - Rear Door Wont Unlock Or Open

If you can hear the motor trying to move chances are the cable is damaged somehow. If you undo the screws, one behind the little cover in the handle recess and I think two bigger ones on the handle, you should be able to pull the top of the door card out far enough to have a look down. Lower the...

3 kids in seats in rear of FL2 - anyone managed this? Advice needed!

When I first read the post, I thought, yea. We put the booster in the middle. Then when I saw the photo'. Those child seats are like a Chesterfield compared to what our kids had to put up with ! Pretty sure the passenger airbag can be turned off on the FL2. Point of note if needing to carry...

Disco 2 Speed limiter for 20 mph?

You could fit a digital speedo and position it on top of dash so easier to see. I used an App on my phone until my son bought me this gizmo. About size of fag packet and plugs into lighter socket, works off GPS.

    Help!

I have to say it sounds a bit random, changing the starter motor as a first choice on a non starter ? Dependant on whether it cranking healthily or not. Check battery volts and connections. If module has got damp could be an immobiliser issue. Good luck

Adding rear seats to my Series 3 88"

Good question this. One insurer, who advertises as a LandRover specialist, refused cover for a 7 seater.

    No throttle response

Unlikely if no codes showing but you could try the connection on top of the accy pedal ?

Thanks for update. It hurts that service was not as hoped, but at least problem solved.

    Freelander starting

Worth popping off the selector surround and checking connections are clean and secure. And same at gearbox under air box. But as Nodge says, diagnostic before you get to deep.

Disco 2 anti-rust protection on brake lines

I paid £25 just over a year ago. It may seem expensive but a little goes a long way. I did all brake lines, back plates and just about every exposed metalwork I could find and still plenty left.

Disco 2 anti-rust protection on brake lines

Too early for long term assessment but I find Owatrol oil is good. Not to expensive, paint straight onto the metal pipe easy to apply regularly and you can still see if any bits are damaged.
