    Freelander 2 osf door problems

It is on both sides as I recall. Drivers side for driver and Passenger side for passenger. It was on the reinforcing rib directly behind the front seat. Directly behind the glovebox is the BCM which controls most functions. You could check connections to this are secure, but ensure ignition is...

    Freelander 2 osf door problems

Pretty sure I have heard of a similar fault. Someone may recall ? Meanwhile I would start by checking connections. I believe they share an earth, toward rear of front seat. Does it have memory seats ? If so check the buttons on the door work ok and connections on the module and in door...

    Special Build SW at Mathewsons

Looks interesting and the guide price is not unrealistic like on many auction sites recently.

Advice on new blade fuses series 3

My Glow plugs on Series 2 are fed from normal 20A fuse via a 70 Amp relay.

    CHASSIS?

Before you do any welding give the chassis a good steam/pressure clean inside and out. Lift chassis up to let moisture drain out and use an air line if you can to blast out any debris and damp. Best done in summer or warm garage to ensure cavity's are dry. Bilt hammer has a good rep'. Can't...

    Disco 2 D2 as a main vehicle?

Yes it is all repairable, but check the chassis carefully, especially the rear Qtr. That is where costs will stack up. Mine was the TD5 Manual, not the fastest but for size of vehicle more than adequate.

    Technical help

Someone will be along with more knowledge than me but I would think that sounds like an ABS sensor fault at one of the wheels. You need a good code reader to pinpoint the issue. It could possibly be the YAW Rate Sensor but to be honest I have not heard of one failing.

    Technical help

Yes if fitted separately the YAW rate is under the centre console as Nodge says. If memory serves me correct. The YAW rate has one connector and the RCM has two. I thought you mentioned an ABS fault ?

    Technical help

The ABS Module is situated behind the Brake booster.

    Technical help

On later models it was incorporated into the Restraint Control Module, which as Nodge says is beneath the centre console. BEWARE Before touching this ensure ignition is off and there is NO chance of power getting to the module. If you lift it with power on, car thinks it is in a roll and Airbags...

    Failed emissions disco 2

I think you must have had a bad 'un, or I got a good 'un ? Wet loom was a daft idea, but cheap and easy to keep on top of. For the size of vehicle and what it was capable of I was more than happy with the fuel Economy, Average 27Mpg. Over 30 on a run. The day after we bought it we set off on a...

    Failed emissions disco 2

Gotta disagree with you there. The car was far from perfect but the TD5 gave no trouble. Powerful enough for me, great for towing and reasonably economical. What's not to like ?

    Failed emissions disco 2

I'm not a troll either but I do keep seeing Ad's for a fuel additive that allegedly works wonders. They have been advertising in Classic Car Weekly for a few years and the results appear positive. Also seen this 'Stop Smoke Oil' ? Also in CCW I would like to see an independent review of any of...

Wayward ‘Earth’ wire and rear compartment interior light has ‘two’ power inputs but no ground. 🤔

Not familiar with the FL1 so wonder if the wire behind the filler could be for locking cap ? Or is there a filter nearby, could be Water in Fuel warning wire ?

    Diagnostic price

Depends what he calls diagnosis. Plugging into a diagnostic and running a test won't take more than 5 minutes. Then you have to diagnose and hopefully cure the faults raised. Things like SWDL's will take longer. I believe the 2017 Landrovers have Software Over The Air and for 2017 I would think...

    Its broken.

Sorry I can't really provide an answer but if a liberal dose of EZ start, nasty stuff, has been sprayed down the bores then it possible any gunge has been washed into the cylinder. This can give two problems, said gunge removed from around piston rings can lead to lack of compression. And of...

    Rear Disco' seats.

I did a trial fit and yes, they will go , the space between them is no less than when they where fitted in the Disco'. But the work involved is, as others said, not really worth it. I will revisit when I have time and look at the rearward facing option. Fitting up against the bulkhead may make...

    Rear Disco' seats.

Percy Vere. Is he related to Percy Filth ? If you old enough to remember. 🤔😀 The main reason I thought of the Disco' seats was I thought it would be easier. I will do some sort of trial fit first. But I am now thinking maybe minibus seats with the built in seatbelt ? I wanted something that...

    Rear Disco' seats.

Believe it or not the main reason I thought of the Disco' seats was so I could have them forward facing. With seatbelts ! Me putting cart before the horse.

    Rear Disco' seats.

You know, I had forgotten about the seat belts ! A very important point. It may be now dead in the water. Damn, wish I had asked first, I already ordered the seats. ☹️
