If you've got a mate that can weld you are halfway there. All the bits that rust are readily available. Obviously you want one that doesn't need everything doing to it at once which would be a bit daunting but provided you are happy to get stuck in then go for it.

Probably a chinese knock of but, he'll take paypal for a collected item which is a bit dumb. The buyer can claim it was never delivered, he can't prove delivery, Paypal refund. Buyer uses genny until it breaks then throws it away.

I haven't actually put it in the car yet but I have had a play and here's a couple of observations. The video revue says you can't set them to show mph, just kph, but this latest firmware does record mph :) Revues I have read on the net say not to use the latest Class 10 sdcard but it works...
