    Advice on 130

The only reason I was after the 130 was for its carrying capacity, is it possible to carry out that kind of chassis stretch to a 110 double cab pick up? or is 20" asking a bit much?

    Advice on 130

First time i've posted in this section, after some advice? I'd like to get myself a 130, and wondered if they were ever manufactured as twin cabs with pick up back? I've seen some 130's as cherry picker type vehicles, but before I go looking for what I want it would be nice to know if they ever...

    Wheel arches for sale

I've got a set of wheel arch extensions for sale to fit a 4 door classic, i bought them but unfortunately they won't work with my 33" tyres, they are fibre glass construction, coloured black and have not been fitted. they attach with rivets or screws, there is no fitting instructions with them...

    Idle Screw Adjustment

Also in addition it seems when adjusting the screw there is no big change to the engine revs and i cant get it above approx. 600rpm, do you think I could have a problem with my vacuum hoses? I want to get it ticking over higher for obvious readings but also because it can easily stall say when...

    Idle Screw Adjustment

thanks for the advice, yet don't worry I am going to take it to a specialist for full set up with all the necessary equipment, however to get it there it needs to be driveable to a degree, the lad i bought the car off didn't know his arse from his elbow and consisdering everything else has been...

    Idle Screw Adjustment

I'm trying to tune up my new lpg system on my 88 3.5 classic, but before I get really stuck in i'm trying to return the engine to the standard set up so as to have a reference to work from. Does anyone know roughly how may turns out the screw should be? or how many turns your own is? or does...

what it worth, and make me an offer

The price can vary massively, i've seen them for as little as 500 for a dog upto (this is the most i've seen) 11995 for a 95 vogue se with 16000 on the clock. I don't think who's owned it in the past will have any bearing on the price, its just a story to tell down the pub really! prospective...

    Rock Sliders

In a moment of spontinaity after my last post i went out with pen, paper and tape measure, figure i'm going to have a go at some diy ones, the ones i've seen advertised seem to fit onto the chassis out riggers so should be solid enough to jack from, i'm going to make them out of 4 x 2 box...

    overheating 2002 v8 4.4 range rover??

Got to admit I disagree with your statemement about lpg systems not working correctly, I have one fitted to my 3.5 Classic and thats it no petrol, a properly installed and setup system can work equally as well. The system I have is a simple mixer type which works just like a carb, the more...

    buying an RR Classic

rust is your main enemy here, the chassis is a biggy, plus theres a few areas prone to the rot, upper and lower tailgates, arches(all), sills, seatbelt mount points (mainly the rear where it goes into the arch), footwells, a pillars(inside) make sure you look under the trim. thats about it, and...

    Advice

I think at the end of the day its a difficult one to advise on, sure people can tell you the pro's and con's of each model and the different engine variants but at the end of the day you need to get yourself in a vehicle and drive it, infact drive as many as you can and as many different types...

Where is the water coming from?

Might explain why the exhausts rust so efficiently!! I figured as much just wanted to confirm it. I had a look at the oil filler cap and no mayonaise so was pretty happy after that!

Where is the water coming from?

Started the car yesterday ('88 3.5 efi) to turn it round on the drive, once i'd stopped then engine after a few minutes i noticed some dripping from the exhaust at the connection with the centre box, obviously a blowing joint! the dripping was water, at first i thought condensation, but now i'm...

    Suspension Travel

Thanks for that! at first when i measured it 3" of travel didn't seem a great deal for an off road vehicle?! but i guess the steel rule can't lie!!

    Suspension Travel

Had a further think about this one! If I were to measure the distance between the axle and the bump stop do you think this would be a fair way to calculate the suspension travel? it comes out at about three inches, any opinions?!
