Off to look at a D2 tomorrow, help with a checklist?

Yeh, I'm hoping that the age and mileage will be in my favours. Shouldn't be too riddled with issues at 120k - hope. It'll need work sure, but as long as it's nothing really massive I can deal with it.

That's the plan . It's all sorted now (got rid of that stoopid EWP and all new stuff in there now) but I've just fallen outa love with it. We just go for a beer when I'm next in the ol' country mate I owe you one :).

Off to look at a D2 tomorrow, help with a checklist?

Hey guys, Well tomorrow's the big day, pretty sure I've found my ideal D2 - 2004 Landmark with lots of extra toys in Oslo blue. Lubbly Jubbly!! It's a fair way away and no one can give me a lift so I'm going down on the train. I'm pretty sure it'll be fine and I'll happily hand over the...

Read Trewey's lift thread, now baffled as to where to find the stuff.

Right I have decided, gonna start with 267/75 KM2's with 2" rear spacers, 2" springs and castor correction arms. If I get more greelanes it I'll look at all the other stuff which will give me more artikerlayshun. Cheers guys i'm well excited now, think I've found the one I wan too! Who knows...

Just weighing the options :). So 32" tyres will fit a 2004 D2 then? No rubbing or anything?

That's a good price :). I was just looking at KM2's, and they're only 1db louder than AT's and have an A rating for wet braking. I really wouldn't have thought they would be that good. 10 quid cheaper per tyre too!!

I usually get BFG's from Extra Grip Tyres in Notts. £155 a corner inc VAT for 265/75/16. Not bad really :), was £125 each for the 215/70/16's on my hippo :).

Ah ok. Will I need the cranked rear trailing arms? I can't seem to find them for the D2, is that because they don't need them on air suspension? Either way, all in with tyres it comes to over 1600 quid. Sheesh!!!

Thanks James!! Just what I needed to know ;). Yes I'll be keeping the airbags as it'll be nice to have ACE (if it's working!!) I see that Terrafirma do pretty much all the items needed for a full-fat D2 2" lift, I hear generally goof things about then, are they trustworthy? Will.

Hi guys, My D2 savings fund is now well and truly coming along and in a few weeks I'll be purchasing one. I'm doing a lot of homework before I do as I want to make sure I know how much it's going to cost to get everything done that I want to do. The first things will be simple, some lamp...

Freelander 1.8 K series hgf - more data

They were never much help to be honest, I don't think they fully grasp how different cars respond to it. If it's not a dead simple loop without any sub coolers or heater, it's going to be a nightmare. I'm not even sure if a simple loop would work as well, I suspect that heat and pressure have a...

Freelander 1.8 K series hgf - more data

Just a quick update about mine. The EWP never really settled in, still had problem with heat spikes and weird habits. After a trip to Buxton where it was all over the place I got sick of it, so me and DD took the whole bloody lot out and replaced all the hoses/stat/pump with brand new parts...

Don't tell the freelanderers...I need help defecting.

Just looked at their site but it's not very helpful. So what does Stage 2 do as opposed to stage 1? How much did it cost? Thanks mate I appreciate the help :). Will.

Yeh that's what I'm planning. Have you had it remapped or done anything to the transfer box? How do the bigger tyres affect the driving?

That's gorgeous mate! Love it I'm not one for going OTT with accessories and stickers either, I still want it to look a bit posh ;). What size tyres are those? Lifted? I think the rock bumpers look really nice, I probably won't get a winch bumper though.

Financing, never done it and have some questions

My old man had one just like that, he said it was much better than the 2003 ES he had after it, but I think just because it had tons of gremlines off the forecourt and he got the hump with it. I reckon I could sort one, every problem has been seen and fixed here I expect. Good to know you can...

Nice sentiment diff ;). I imagine a lifted Disco on Fender tyres is going to tower above other traffic!! Definitely going to do that but probably wont cover it in gribble. Won't be a challenge truck.
