    "O" Rings!!!! Don't think so.

As I am intending to change a couple of other hoses whilst doing the rings, I'm going to have to drain the cooling system anyway.

    "O" Rings!!!! Don't think so.

Thanks Datatek, I suspected I might have had something to do with it!!!

    "O" Rings!!!! Don't think so.

Wammers, could that be over pressure in the whole cooling system or just in the heater matrix? Going by what I said before about a couple of small leaks recently appearing on the top of the rad and throttle heater, could that be a result of over pressure?

    "O" Rings!!!! Don't think so.

Ok Guys, I think I have finally found the source of the leak. Further exploration this afternoon resulted in me finding fresh wet traces of fluid below where the "O" rings are. These traces were found higher than, and four inches away from, the A/C drain Overlander was referring to. And...

    "O" Rings!!!! Don't think so.

Thanks Datatek, but I can find no evidence of water ingress around the pollen filters and I can't see signs of the route it would have taken. Is there a inner and outer skin that the water can get in between to the footwell? However, I will do as you suggest as it will at least count that out...

    "O" Rings!!!! Don't think so.

Ok Guys, I've just found wet in my drivers side footwell Not as you might think around the tunnel but on the door side. Although, the carpet is slighly damp right up into the footwell it has soaked an area of about 2 x 6 inches by the door in front of the seat. The wetness feels slimy, and is...

    motorway noise

I spoke to Rimmers today. New door rubbers for the P38 are no longer made. When they were they were £130 each:eek: So you will have to take pot luck in getting second hand ones that are better than those you already have.

    Which alternator kit to buy?

Maybe I wasn't clear. Apologies. I will need to solder the wires of the brush to the regulator.

    Which alternator kit to buy?

Wammers, I have been. However, I finally found a site on ebay that had the brushes that a meant for my alternator. So I have ordered them. In preparation I have drilled out the old ones (keeping the springs in tact!!). One final question - is there a specific type of solder I must...

    Which alternator kit to buy?

I recently had an alternator problem which I fixed by replacing it with a second hand one. I am now looking to see if I can refurbish/repair my original alternator (nothing wrong with the replacement one). But, I do not know which kit to buy or where from. The alternator I have is a Bosch 150...

    which MAF to buy?

Well, the part arrived and was fitted within 5 mins. The car started - Hooray!! Took the car for a spin - immediate change of performance - Hooray!! So if the ECU does need to adjust to the new sensor, then it is fairly quick (5-10 miles). If the immediate performance change is only the...

    which MAF to buy?

good point Martyn. All i know is that the improvement in performance with MAF disconnected was 100%. If you are correct it may take a couple days driving to see the benefit, which gives me some time at least.

    which MAF to buy?

Thanks Foz!! Hopefully the part will arrive tomorrow and I will know then if it's going to work. If there is a problem when I fit it, I will order the Bosch in replacement straight away, which should arrive by Thursday. Just in case it fails competely whilst I am away I will take the faulty...

    which MAF to buy?

Oh well. If you are right Wammers and it turns out it is crap then I'll send it back and go for the Bosch. Worst case is I'll drive to Bruge with it disconnected!!!!

    which MAF to buy?

Datatek, My thinking exactly!!! I've plumped for the Allmakes version. Not a lot lost if I have got it wrong or the part fails after a time. But I do need one urgently as I am off to Bruge this weekend. Cheers
