Judging from what others say between 25-30 is the norm, but like any car does depend on your driving style, load and traffic conditions.

Obviously the best way is to buy a converted one but the cost of conversion is worth it, over 25,000 miles at 17mpg on petrol against 14mpg on gas will give a £2800 saving on current prices more than enough to pay for a decent converstion.

I can do that in a 4.6 V8!! I managed 22mpg on the motorway doing a "CharlesY" on the way to Kent and averaged 18mpg last week over a 1000 miles of mixed motoring.

Not sure if it will help but I was told that as the LPG ECU takes it's settings from the main ECU, it pays every now and then to do a 100 miles or so on petrol.

ECU has been untouched as she was running well within LR tolarances while hooked up to diagnostics, so the plan is to run her in on petrol for 1000 miles, max 2500 revs and then do some more checking and set the gas up. Well me for the next 1,000 miles running in recon top hat 4.6 max 2,500 revs, :( petrol only. Mine had the gas fitted at 22,000 miles and was fine for 80,000 till a bodged repair by previous owner resulted in a massive overheat, which then lead to slipped liner, nowt to do with gas.

How much!!!!!!!!!!! Out here in the wilderness it's only 59.9p. I get about 65 litres in my twin 40's and averaged just over 14 to the gallon but that was with HG/block problems, be interesting to see what the 4.6 I have put in does.

Well if they have bodged it they will have to put it right or suffer the consequences. To be fair the garage I am using is a fair sized independent who have a reputation for being fairly honest, so I don't have much worries in that area, just that they can't seem to find the problem. Bill
