How long are you going for? I'd be temped to just rent an already equipped 4x4 (of any kind really). That way it should be hassle free and you can spend more time and money on what actually matters - the trip itself.

Why doesn't it make a difference with just the intercooler alone. You'll get denser and therefore more O2, if anything it should send the fuel/air mix in the other direction aka under fueled?

I'm firmly in the 'it came out of the factory that way for a reason' camp so probs won't fiddle with the pump but did toy with the idea

Fair my thoughts as well. Might just flog it or keep it and fit if I sell so it’s tuning ready or maybe fit it and have a wee fiddle with the pump. Who bloody knows.

Have my hands on a pretty much new allisport intercooler for very little money. Is there any benefit to fitting it to my 200tdi without tweaking the pump. I’m not going to adjust the fuel system but does an updated intercooler improve the efficiency (not bothered about power) alone? My gut...

As long as you tuned it off immediately you'll probably be fine. A lot of engines have no oil pressure on start up until the oil pump kicks in so a quick on and off should be fine.

What's your planning having fitted one. Are you going to tune it up?

think they’re the heater box hoses. Make sure you do the jubilee clips up tight with the silicone hoses. They’re thicker than the original ones and don’t deform as much. Means they leak if the jubilee isnt done up nice and tight.
