Updates - Installed engine oil cooler last week and it looks like it really help moves the heat from the engine well at least from engine bay. not so much heat as you open the bonnet after a long drive. Still watching it but so far so good. Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong as the temp is...

if its just a small leak you may to use K-Seal or other "radiator stop leak" product. They are woking well.

I read the mg forum as you might have known :D but i think the grawling sound when engine shut off its high presureised and hot coolant passing some sort of opening some where (leaks) so auxilary water pump is a good idea to cool the coolant further after the engine shut off.

dont yu think an extra oil cooler for both engine and trans are easier and common?

would it mean it could cooled the engine longer as its boiling point increase?! :rolleyes:

Good to hear you ot ur hippo back. btw, bubbling could be still there are air traps in cooling system. changing the bottle cap is also a good idea. How do you go with mods? :rolleyes:

yes it does only cool the engine. i got one from ebay. waiting to arrive. i will let you know the outcome.

If it is a sealed unit then thermostat reading cool temp from rad. If you see closely that is in the "cold" section. thus you need remote thermostat. But if it is the case, I was just wonder why LR havent done any Recall?? :mad: all such cooler mods like 2nd electrical water pump, extra...

Yes you are right. a thermo which fits into output from block is a must. If you can find out about your old thermo would be very good. and what treev is also true, the other bank is twice as hot as the other bank.solution??
