Ok, choice is down to 1...

... went to see the P38 today, last one on the list and the one that edges it over the others other than on price and from a private seller so no warranty! 99/V 85k miles in the right color combination and condition for me. Spent about an hour going over the car, here are the findings -...

I'm on the brink of buying 4.6 HSE...

Thanks Wills, some good advice in there - I can too easily fall for the looks of the car and overlook the odd thing that doesn't work, but it sounds more critical in this case. The air suspension I am aware of, and will give it a good going over. The long test drive sounds another good idea.

Lol... no wonder your post count is so high ;) Well... I have had 2 TVR's and belive me, one of them was not cheap to run. I was scared to take it further than the driveway for fear of not being able to get it back in the garage. It was low loaded far too often! Anything remotely close that...

    P38 , How do you re-synch key ?

Is this whats called a key code issue and can make a car a non runner? How easy is this to resolve? I've come across another reasonably priced one that just says "non runner due to keycode problem" Easy quick cheap fix?

    99 Vogue 4.6 head gasket

Thanks for the responses guys. sounds like it could be more than a risk of just a HGF to fix... Shame cos the overall condition of the car is very nice, it runs, and everything else works. Out of interest, what would it cost to replace the liners at the same time? Are parts still readily...
