Ryder I don't have a winch but do you think it would be possible to to tow it in low range very slowly? All I can offer you really. How soon does it need to be shifted? Maybe I can work out a date to help when Jai is working on his trialler?

It's just an air heater. Fuel in, cold air in and out, combustion air in and exhaust out. If I designed some sort of detachable air pipe i could potentially channel hot air into the engine bay?

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

I do but remember its not fitted :D:D Maybe up in scotland I might encounter this a bit more often  Not sure an internal heater would help but I guess I could have a detachable vent blowing hot air into the engine bay for very cold mornings? Have you got any time if I were to ask you...

Action cameras - what do you use?

You are best off looking for a cheap compact that does half decent video. If not maybe consider upgrading your DSLR as most new ones have built in HD video modes now. Best of all though would be a GoPro.. I'm not sure if anyone sells them second hand but it might be worth looking into?

More of a problem was the blurry, out of focus shots apparently! It was too dark for AF and so he was almost blindly manually focusing with F1.8!

Eh of course some people won't need it for the type of use they are interested in, but it is invaluable to others! :D:D I have a friend who owns a 5D mark 2 and was shooting for a band the other night using F1.8 ISO 6400 and 1/30th second exposure because they decided at the last minute not to...

Don't forget newer cameras are generally much better at higher ISO values, its not just the resolution that has improved over the last few years!

Not a Nikon expert here but I think the D100 came before the D200 and D300 (and now D300s) which are made better still than the 70,80,90 range. Go too far back and they don't have much resolution but it just depends how you are going to use it and what size you want to print or view them at.

    Landy Rescue

I've been too busy digging out my own van today to worry much about anyone else's! Did help out one very hot and dumb blonde in her A6 4wd though. Amazing how people will just continue to walk past when there's someone trying desperately to get moving with wheels spinning. Doesn't take much time...

Newer cameras generally mean newer sensors which are generally better in low light. Pikeys D70 was a good buy though, the cameras in that range (D70, D80, D90) are much nicer to handle and are made much more substantially. Generally I'd rather go for an older, higher quality camera but just...

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

I am almost completely fed up of snow now! My back is killing me and I lost count of the number of times i had to dig my own van out and other peoples cars out! Someone decided to order their shopping online when they lived 2 miles down unploughed, ungritted track. I would've taken the landy if...
