    DA sanders for bodywork.

You should be fine on small areas. 14 cfm should be ok but a 100litre tank wont last long. I have a 160litre tank and that just about copes as long as I don't do too much at once.

    living with a series after a disco 1 ?

If you think a Disco is not refined then forget a Series they are miles apart. Basic dosnt cover it. Don't get me wrong I would have another 11a anytime.

Really depends what size (cfm) compressor and how big the tank is.

Homologation of tires for Series 3

You may find that a modern 235/85 16 tyre is the correct rolling diameter for a 109 but OP mentioned 7.50.

Homologation of tires for Series 3

If I remember correctly the Older Range Rovers and Landrovers would have had 205/16s fitted as a metric alternative to the 7.50s as these were the closest, I know my 74 Rangie did when I had it in the late 80s. You have to remember in the 70s they never had 60 or 70 profile tyres. The modern...

    Stick on Number Plate

Technically Yes. But you can buy the backing and digits separately so you can get away with it.

    Insurance and named drivers

You have used a specialist insurer and this is how they work. It always used to be the case with Classic cars they class anyone under 25 as a higher risk. Has he got full comp insurance if so check to see if he has cover to drive other cars included.

recommend a good garage in chesterfield / sheffield area

Do a bit more research as these engines can eat themselves at that mileage. I can recommend Grant and Mcallin at Beighton near Rother Valley good indy but not BMW specialist. I would do a search on the 1 series forum.

    filled up with petrol today....

If you cant drain any out then add clean Veg oil to it when you top up instead of diesel. Its thicker so the petrol will thin it out better.

    Mobility scooter

You really need to check the batteries are ok. I brought 1 back from a family member not long ago that had been stood for a while. And although the indicator said full they soon ran out of power and would charge up but didn't hold the charge for long. If it needs new ones they are expensive...

My Adrian Flux/ULR insurance claim woes!

Correct me if I am wrong but she is not claiming of AF she is claiming off the other parties insurance and they are the ones arguing the costs. As I said if it was me I would now put in a claim on my own insurance (I assume she is Full Comp) and then let them claim back the cost.

My Adrian Flux/ULR insurance claim woes!

I think I would bite the bullet and claim on my insurance then you can let them fight it out.
