I would start by checking all the earths and connectors on the starter and then the starter relay.

Sound like you are new to Landrover ownership. I am very sure you will have much bigger disappointment's with it other than your part's being a bit late. You could of course have gone to a main dealer and had your pants down. Or gone somewhere else and then been complaining about poor quality...

The easiest and quickest way to get in is to break a window. Do the drop gas as they are easy and cheap to replace. As for the problems no idea. Could need an ECU but I would say it needs to go on a diagnostic machine maybe even Dealer spec diagnostic.

There are different codes you might see it on the nut it will be a letter stamped on it. I think they are about £13 on ebay. If not you might be able to get it off with mole grips that's what I do on my spare.

I take it you have a 200. Real pain in the backside to get the heater box out. All the dash needs to come out. Would be best to replace the complete unit. Cant remember if the motor comes out without splitting the cases. Matrix is a real pain to swap.
