the correct way to do it is... leave the steering wheel alone. Take the ball joint out of the hub where the drag link joins the drop arm. Loosen the wee clamp. Wind the balljoint in or out of the tube until the steering wheel is straight, and then reassemble. IF you do the...

in that case, it sounds like you need to remove some shims, as the hub is being allowed to move an pull the housing 'down'. That, or your roller bearing/s are shot.

dnt bother with massive tyres - it will hammer your poor swivels, wheel bearings, props etc. I run 235/85 16s on mine, no lift. The only real mod to my steering is deeper dished wheels and then removed lock stops, so that i can get much tighter cornering for trials. An my tyres dnt rub. 265...
