no, the janspeed one is a straight swap for the stock part, which yours really isn't. I quite like it though. Propper straight through is really a bit loud... mine was for a while, but it got an MOT and i never got stopped by it. Put a boy racer back box on it, just to take the edge off. Sounds...

OK. went to look at a 110 couple of weeks ago, IP was being filled with air. Checked all the pipes, had been bodged but sound. So, i repaired the bodges, still sound. Turned out that the boost diaphragm has split. So, i put a new one in it. This now made it drive ok, for about 20 minutes, so...

the v8's aint bad off road, a diesel if just better. primarily, less susceptible to water. unless lots of time is spent waterproofing the V8, then it will not perform as well/at all when it gets wet, whereas the diesel just needs air above water, and ideally the alternator too. the TDi's...

late 86. urs will still have the higher ratio diff, 3.54:1 I think. same as all coilers.

and 1988 isn't early for a 90. It has push button doors and fancy locks. mine is early, with lift up door handles and no internal bonnet release, 1984. :)
