the 16 inch alloys off a classic will fit, you just have to use the alloy wheel nuts as well

take out the fuel pump fuse, and wait till it feels like its trying to fire and then whack the fuse back in, that will work if the above method fails as well.

no way of really checking without removing the inlet manifold, but i have had the problems you describe quite a few times before, and after trying the basics it has come down to the camshaft being worn on one or two lobes. please try all other possibilities first, as other members have...

sounds like the camshaft coould be worn to me.

if we had P38 police cars over here, no would get caught, , a 20 minute chase would be about the best it could manage. before headgasket blew, or susupension failed, or one of many faults happened, but just imagine how many police officers would be members on here
