Ok, gotcha, I don't intend to have any carpets in there and when I do get it wet it can sit in the garage to dry out. I really am shocked how badly these can corrode, genuinely shocked that a 10 year old car has holes in the chassis!

It is only for laning & fun. Got a car and van for work. When we went to Wales laning, some of the standard defenders struggled because of lack of articulation... That's why I was trying to achieve better articulation?

On the hunt for a 90 and after looking at a load of sheds I'm going to have to inflate my budget! I've found a really tidy one, 2006 that I want to do a few mods to: Old man emu suspension with good articulation, what will I need? Cones, mounts, shock, springs, cranked arms, props etc...

Is it common/typical for that age? I'm not scared of a bit of work....if these are common and if I look at 10 then 9 will have these problems then so be it, if it's not common, I will walk or barter. Can't find another at 4500!

Seems something more sinister then. I would reconnect the battery, shut the bonnet & all doors, lock the car. Unlock the car, then put key in ignition & start. Are you saying the car runs with alarm going off?
