    Chassis Paint Remover.

I started last night with a Blow Torch and it is doing the job fine. I then sanded the section cleaned with the Torch and it looks great. Rusty but repairable. I am going to carry on that way. Thanks for all your suggestions. Best regards. Chris.

    Chassis Paint Remover.

Hi All. I want to strip the Chassis back to bare metal. I have tried Nitromorse and it is useless. I have started sanding, however it is very slow and difficult to get at some areas. Some web sites suggest using Brake Fluid. What are your thoughts on this or any other suggestions. Regards. Chris.

    Series 3 Chassis.

Just bought one yesterday. Would you consider using the Zinc 182 Rust primer, Mammerite Direct to Rust paint of Oxide Paint. I am stripping the Chassis back to bare metal.

I was considering pumping expanding foam into the chassis, is this recommended or not ?.

    Series 3 Chassis.

Is Zinc 182 Grey Rust Primer any good. I have removed all the loose paint and rust with scrapers, wire brush and finally with paint strippers. There is still about 70% paint still on the Chassis. Regards. Chris.

    Series 3 Romano LPG.

Tightened up the outlet Thumb Screw fully, removed power to the Solenoid and removed the pipe. Only a very small amount of gas escaped from the pipe and then stopped. Tub, inc LPG Tank removed safely. Thanks again.

    Series 3 Romano LPG.

It has a Solenoid fitted on the outlet port. I tightened up the Thumb Screw fully and disconnected the outlet pipe and all seems OK, no Gas escaping. I have withdrawn the pipe and wiring from the Tub. I am hoping to remove the Tub without having to remove the tank from the Tub. Think I am ready...

    Series 3 Romano LPG.

There are 2 thumb screw fittings on the Multivalve unit. I am going to see it by turning them either way that might do the job. Will let you know.

    Series 3 Romano LPG.

Many thanks for the reply. I intend reusing the LPG system again in the 109 once I have it restored. It is half dismantled at the moment, so cant take it to an Installer. I thought that there might be a shut off valve at the tank. The only other way I can see is to slacken off the outlet pipe...

    Series 3 Romano LPG.

Hi. I am restoring my 1984 109 and need to remove an LPG Tank from the Tub. The Tank is about 25% full. Is there any way to shut off the gas at the Tank or do I need to drain off all the gas when I disconnect the pipe feeding the Vaporiser ?. It is a Romano Stage 1 LPG Kit. Regards. Chris.
