After reading,research etc i have decided ( well nearly,i am new to this and things keep grabbing my attention ! ) that the 200tdi is the engine for me,judging by this thread and others on the site which i have read,i think a large % of lr owners would agree that it is fair choice for a landy...

hi thebgt, After reading,research etc i have decided that the 200tdi is for me,now just got to find a good one, i have no time restraints which helps,just got to stay patient.I am getting a lr cos i am moving up north,in cambridge where i am now,how ever hard i tried i could not justify getting...

thanks bonny,makes sense. landseer,i thought the arguement was ...'diesels are less likely to go wrong but harder to fix if they do, petrol are more likely to go wrong but easier to fix if they do'.........i find your comment strange cos at the moments i am weighing up the pros and cons of...

hi,reading around im getting the rough figures that a diesel is 10-20 % more effecient,does this still hold true for the age of lr that i can afford which will be 1980-1990ish ? Also,i am interested in an 1985 d110 v8 csw,now this is petrol,why,surely the pulling power of diesel and the price...
