    Charging problem. Help please.

I had that. Changed the battery. £85. Still died about a week after with little running. Changes the alternator £95 and since them no problems whatsoever. In hindsight I think the battery was okay and the alternator was the problem but I have the peace of mind that both are good and confidence...

On well, a man can dream!

Nice. I've also recently bought a series 3. Got a couple of chickens in the garden and am doing to pick up 8 more rescue battery hens on Saturday in my Landy. Gonna fill the back with straw and use it as a mobile chicken coup for transportation purposes. I'm a police officer in London.

    Which is the best option

Think the extended shackles are the way forward and then save for a set of parabolics. Which are best. Car currently has a set of 265/16R75 wheels and tyres on.

    Hot Exhaust

Don't think do. Mine doesn't. I have no idea what would cause that I'm afraid but it certainly isn't normal.

    Which is the best option

    Which is the best option

I own a 1972 SWB series 3. The leaf springs are okay but I want to raise it up a bit. I currently have a set of 2" lift shackles waiting to fit but have a question for future options. Which is better to fit? Parabolic springs and new shocks or a cool spring conversion? Been quoted £600...

    dodgy brakes!!!!

It's go to be an air leak if you have to pump them the they work and if they worked after they were bled. How old is the fluid?

    Will it be TAX free?

    Bugger.

    removing the front brakes

You can get them in all sizes from most car spares and tool shops. Simply fits to a socket wrench and no risk of setting either you car or yourself alight

    removing the front brakes

What about using a stud extractor. That would grip the rounded nut.

    Will it be TAX free?

So will everything from 01/01/74 be exempt as of next week? Is that how it works or is it a set day and that's it. Turns out mine was registered in August 1773 so therefore not exempt at the moment.
