    EAS Problem intermittent

Leaking seal within the solenoid block, thats what i've traced mine to. I'm no expert compared to the senoirs on here, but I did all my leak tests until only the seals within the block could be at fault. I was going to get a 2nd hand block and get a seal kit so i could rebuild it then swap it over.

Does the P in P38 stand for Paranoia?

Glad its not just me then, to add insult to injury last friday hit a speed bump at the wrong angle and it took the rear tyre off the rim - never had that happen before, serious brown trouser moment. Then the plug on my trailer wriggled out and blew fuse 17, so I got ABS and traction control...

Sounds like it could be receiver, I bit the bullet and changed mine after flattened batteries, interior lights coming on etc.............. hope it's worth it, good being able to plip from more than 6 inches away ! but the thought of burnt out door locks swung it.

It is a chipping box. I have one on my Merc Vito. It usually interupts the connection to the fuel rail by way of a double plug. Trace the cable back and reconnect the original cable back to the fuel rail, see it it makes a difference. It increases fuel rail pressure.

    Towing and EAS

Evening Gents (and ladies) Hooked up the EAS software, once i sorted out which comms port I needed I fired it up. First attempt the lead and USB adaptor seperated and the car would not rise at the rear. Re-started the software and unpluged as I should, is there a specific exit plan ? I am...

    Towing and EAS

Thanks for all this info, it's coming together. So from what I gather the sensors should show a smooth transition on an ohm meter from high to low, are these readings on RAVE or on here somewhere ? I will then get out the multi-meter and find out which little bug#er it is.

Thanks for that, hadn't realised thats how it worked. Why would the high level light come on then drop back ? or is it just a sensor niggle ?

You can lock at motorway height, thats not a problem, it's the fact that it went to that height on it's own and lit the led with no help. I will check the air bags and try my EAS lead and software tomorrow.

    Towing and EAS

Hi Jerry. I hitched up and as i pulled off the motorway led lit up, so I hit the inhibit button. Symptoms thus far. Car sometimes drops a little over 3-4 days. Some times it flatlines straight away when the car is started, othertimes the access LED is lit and the flatline flashes for up to a...

Please don't take offence, look at the punctuation. I take you advice on board, and wasn't refering to your comments, it was a generalisation. I have only purchased the car recently and until I am aware of its bad habits (of which there appear to be many) I am open to all advice. :)

    Towing and EAS

I didnt touch the inhibit until after it had gone to motor way height, I did mention the slight slump in the eas in an earlier thread so I am guessing the issues are linked, I will put my gas testing spray on the air bags,`where is the best area to spray ? is it the 'love-handle' fold at the...
