Yes you can. Remove the prop complete from front to back. Hopefully the noise will be the VCU bearings and should stop. If so replace with good quality bearings. I made the mistake of going the cheaper route and 4 months later had to replace them again. The handbrake feeling like it is on is...
a full service would be a good place to start including the filters. Do the mod for the cam breather that will definately help. Check this thread out.
