    steering wheel grinding

Aye I know the outer column would move the shroudybit but if the inner column could move up within the outer column, problem solved. Had a look at my Td5 wheel and its about 10mm from the shroud. Bluddy Lannies

    Damp proofing

Theres a small bag you can buy and leave it in yer landy. Stops condensation apparently - it was touted in all the Landy mags a few months ago. When it "fills up" put it on a radiator and dry it out, then repeat. Or a bag of salt.

    Roof Bars

Have a set of Rhinos myself and they're great - have carried WAY more than they should with no problem. Even handier if you buy a couple of uprights at the same time as they have rings on em for bungees, ratchet straps etc.

    steering wheel grinding

I've adjusted it every which way, and can't see how to trim it as it grinds along the seam between the upper and lower bits - maybe a sharp blade and sand it down? Will hunt about for some sort of spacer - it'll only need couple of mm, so I guess a big washer. Thanks - shame the column...

    steering wheel grinding

Ediths steering wheel used to grind on the shroud. Post-bulkhead / chassis swap, everything all built up nicely, but the wheel still grinds on the shroud. How do you adjust this? Shroud on correctly, dash all square and neat (squarer than my Td5), everyting built up as per parts drawing...

    Bulkhead change

if you remove the wheel spat eyebrow things and have skinny arms / hands or a very long ratchet extender arm, a bright head torch and the patience of a saint - you can do it. The threads are very course and it only takes a couple of turns to undo them. Don't forgret the very obvious bolt at the...

    2.5 TD starting

and what does it mean if after the starter has started the engine it makes a loud scrapey noise like a gearbox missing a gear? But only sometimes.

    Engine Breather

a plastic power steering reservoir turned upside down does the job nicely if you have a spare one. And a spare bracket. And spare space.

An Annoyance which has become Ridiculous!!!

yep my 110 on OE HD standard springs sits well higher than a stock one, the back sits higher than the front too. Call it the "wolf" look.

    water in battery box

I would have thought that explosive gases was a nonsense if it weren't for the fact that in my old and now dead ninety SW, something went wrong with the alternator which meant that it was throwing out gazillions of volts and my passeneger complained of a hot bottom and feeling ill. Took seat up...

    LPG question

Just wondering if the LPG you buy at garages is the same LPG that my neigbour has in an enormous tank in his back garden. If so, can you buy an lpg filler nozzle. Also is central heating lpg marked in some way to stop it being used as a road fuel? Just wondering as he's stopping having LPG...

    Temp gauge

Your wires may be brittle (or the sleeve of the wires) if yer landy is old. My 1989 90's wires, if you muck about with them too much the sleeve cracks and the core becomes exposed. You may have yanked a wire (and lets face it theres such a spagetti mess of wires in there, you have to get quite...

    veg oil news

aye but non-food rapeseed is all the manky tasting stuff that even Pura wouldn't put in their wee bottles. Burns fine though. The heating grade SVO will have to be similar to heating kerosene in price to make the boilers sell (1200 notes versus 600 for a standard combi) and to make it worth...

    veg oil news

just thought I'd share the news that theres a new range of condensing combi-boilers coming out that are designed to run on rapeseed oil - and heating oil suppliers will start delivering bulk rapeseed oil to accommodate them... The roll out will be some time later this year and the boilers will...
