    CB questions

Hi - I'm fitting a CB to Edith my 90- and know nothing about CBs. I'm wanting to fit an aerial to the military sticky-up pole thing on the body side (like the military do) and run a cable inside the tub capping to the seat bulkhead where it ends in a socket that I can plug a portable CB into...

    army radio arial for cb?

does anyone know if the military arial that goes ontop of the thing that looks like a potato masher that's on the sides of the rear tub of FFR landies, would work for a cb radio? I'd assume it does but don't know if theres different types of radio (like fm, am etc??) thanks!

    Extra fuel tank won't fill

here's where mine's at now-----> the filler for the td5 tank is obvious and I used a series surround and then fitted a "doughnut" of aluminium to take the rubber grommet for a Td5 fuel pipe. I used the fuel pipe from a disco as this is nice and long with a 70 degree turn at base and it...

How do you remove fuel tank on 53 plate 90?

you can remove the supporting cradle underneath it, undo the jubilee clips holding the tank to the filler and breather and then with careful wiggling and jiggling (if I remember it's forward towards engine, tilt upwards to front, then backwards down and it'll come free). You should also be...

    Extra fuel tank won't fill

I got the chassis made by Richards Chassis and they welded the Td5 brackets on - maybe give them a ring and see what they want for a pair loose. You can always drill and bolt them thru the chassis rails with some M10x100 or 110 bolts. Also that way it's all genuine landy stuff. and as...

    Extra fuel tank won't fill

griffdowg - just fit a 90 td5 rear tank in addition to your underseat - tis what I did and it works well. Got it for 60 quids of ebay plus another 60 for an armoured guard. a blacksmith'll knock up the hangers for it for about 40. job done. (ok theres alot more fannying about but you get the...

    hardtop sides to tub -wtf?

Aye I have them but they weren't pulling it down sufficiently... so I undid all the windscreen to roof nuts, the two big front pegs, slackened off the rear nuts then lifted the roof and sides complete while my helpful wife reached in and grabbed two really thick washers out of the peg things...

    hardtop sides to tub -wtf?

bugger. aye everything is seated correctly but it looks like the tub capping is bent down in the middle - or the two ends are raised more likely - didn't notice it when it was a truckcab. Guess I remove the roof and side and then take out one of the thick washers then on the dodgy side...

    hardtop sides to tub -wtf?

tightened up all the bolts, squared up all the door openings, windscreen to roof all nice and tight, (took frikkin ages) everything looking good.... W.T.F! how is there a gap between the hardtop sides and the tub only on 1 side? And the bolts at each end are as tight as they go - and the...
