    Right its been 5 weeks now, we're away for 2 more, i'll drain the water off when i get back and filter it, and see what it looks like. I'm hoping there's not much water in it

    Could be the turbo hose, they tend to rub on a bolt head, if you feel under the pipe towards the drivers side you'll feel quite easily if its wearing thin

    I have a 16yr old disco that don't leak and a 20 yr old 90 thats only leaks hydraulics cause i'm to lazy to replace a hose

    Yes you can buy one for 2k but you'll have to check it over very carefully. you wont get a mint one for that money

    I guess you're giving fuel figures for the 1.8. my TD4 gives a minimum of 35 mpg

    I only get a very slight warm oil smell, perhaps its contaminated with something?

    Can't smell any worse than veg oil surely?? I've used veg oil and people have refused to follow me when off rd:o What mix are you on. Hardly any difference on mine on a 50/50, smokes a bit thats all

    3 MONTHS!!! i'll be broke by then lol, perhaps i need to sort a better storage system than i have, not much available space at the moment (shouldn't have sold the lock up), should have a decent sized shed in about 2 month but we'll be moving middle of next year so i could do with getting as much...

    At least it'll be easier and quicker to filter. when you say weeks? How long would you recommend? I was thinking 4. I can store 60 ltrs in this conicle tub, mixed 50/50 with derv would last about 6weeks, so if i can get away with letting it settle for 5 weeks i can get a little in front in case...

    Its been standing 4 days and it still looks the same, it'll prob look the same in weeks/months to come tho, will i be able to tell when i drain the water off when i get to the decent stuff?

    Makes sense, i've got 35ltrs standing now i'll keep checking it to see if it separates which it should do before i get any more, unless of course i can get straight engine oil.
