Are they really any good ?

We got a 2006 td4 Freelander 1 great car looks good parts not expensive just use as a car have not put tow bar on it and might use it for going up a dirt track and that's all. The td5 disco would pull 3.5 tons off road no problem, but the Freelander will run for 8 hours at 130 kmh and use well...

might be but drives okay and was working okay one minute and then not the next on 2 cylinders, think next step is to swap the new injector into cylinder 1 or 4 as they are working and see what happens I am away for a bit so stopped using it, it is putting some diesel down into the oil. Also...

    Another td4 starting problem

Other thing is as the engine does start for around 2 to 5 seconds on first turn of the key I would think there is not a leak in high pressure side but in low pressure side and the first start is fuel left in high pressure side?

    Another td4 starting problem

I thought that the air would get into the leak off pipes then as the low pressure pump pumps diesel up the return leak off (when engine not running but low pressure pump is turned on) this would allow air into the low pressure side when all turned off? but this is not really my thing

    Another td4 starting problem

They all look good might try taking the leak off pipe off that goes back to filter blocking it off and seeing if it drops over night

Hi all I have a problem with our td4 Freelander 1 2006 for some time it has not been the best of starters for some time, but is getting worse. Britpart products

You have got to also remember Land Rover like all car companies are like Britpart, they buy from the cheapest place they can and work to get the price down as low as they can difference is they do try to make the bit outlive the warranty. The over thing to think about with older land rovers is a...
