Raytheman.....the bumper has two 3mm plates welded equal distance apart onto the back of the bumper... Two holes are drilled in each corresponding with the drilled holes in both lengths of angle iron.....high tensile steel bolts are used to then bolt the bumper on...4 bolts in total

Why bother to learn when you can pay someone to do it.....seems to be the attitude.....problem is my generation are not passing these once handed down skills..... onto their sons....

When I built my Chassis I welded 2 pieces of angle iron from one dumb iron to the other....then bolted the bumper to the angle iron (see pic)....the result ..stronger front end and no bolt holes in Dunbar irons to allow the ingress of rain water..you have to weld two backing plates to the bumper...

Mines a rebuilt Engine..and set up correctly yet I experience run on after a long journey .....I find stopping and letting it idle for a couple of minutes cures the run on problem....but you can buy and fit an anti run on fuel cut off solenoid...the lead substitution additive wont have any...

Carbon build up is a possibility Kommer....but I have occasional over run on my nicely rebuilt Engine thats set up correctly.....I cure this by letting her idle for a couple of minutes after a long journey.....Alternatively you can buy and fit a fuel cutoff solenoid.......Chris

Im assuming once Engine is hot.... You let it stand for 5 mins.... Wipe dipstick then check? If not thats why reading is high... The correct level shown will be when cold.... If that is the case....

My 1974 series 3 accelerates smoothly and evenly through all forward gears.....its not a sports car so to a modern car it will feel a little sluggish.....and mine has been completley rebuilt.....Chris
