😂. I think I may attempt to re shod the one you sent. Picking it apart obviously gives the pattern pieces. I just need a skiving knife and some more material. I’m happy with the stuff I got for the cubby box lid so I’ll speak to them and try and crack a deal as wouldnt mind doing my door card...

This shows the difference where I’ve wrapped black leather for cubby box on my other build. Easier to see it’s grey there

That one isn’t the one that arrived today mate. This one was scuffed, then binder, then colour then topcoated with a crosslinker to about 25% gloss. It’s dark grey now to match the dash and to be a bit different!

Got another wheel from @Firebobby1 so thought I’d take a risk with the worn one I’ve got as a lesson prior to restoring one for my main build. It’s not perfect (it almost was 🤦‍♂️) but it won’t disintegrate in my hands like the current nasty one and will go nicely. Just needs some leather balm...

Expensive day…. I stripped the nearside front as play/clink was raised when it was inspected. On removal, swivel was full of oil. Oil full of grease. We already knew that would be the case didn’t we! Plan was to just replace the cv and drive flange as these were assumed to be at fault. Now...

    Fuel gauge reading

I read the title and thought “I know this one, I’ve solved it with the connector behind the glove box. Then I read it was 23 plate and not 300tdi 😂🤦‍♂️

    300TDI Disco1, temp sensor locations

There’s an egr one in head you can use - I read it was m10 fine. My adapter didn’t work. I ended up tapping the thermostat bleed screw and have a sensor there. As above - need to find why it went and also know that the head isn’t cracked or damaged! I’ve fitted oil pressure and water temp to...

It’s working. Couldn’t tell you why but not going to question it 😂 both that and the rear screen illuminate. Door switch fixed - robbed one from the other car. Only thing I need to do now is drive shaft and member but don’t know what to order as don’t know spline detail without removing. All I...

Door switch fixed, intermittent wiper fixed, courtesy light fixed and warning buzzer that I’ve left the lights on works. This all suggests to me that the original MFU works and fog is more lightly to be wiring. Hopefully I’m not being really stupid right now - is rear fog switch the one on the...

Wiper unit was totally seized as suspected from the bulging on the scuttle when activated. One of the splines was locked solid. Left it soaking in diesel and freed up then de - rusted and re-assembled and installed. Once again, old shock bushes replaced the originals. Intermittent wiper doesn’t...

Disco 1 Disco 1 Rust repair prep

I’ve done the top of windscreen, corners referred to, edges of scuttle and top of a pillars. I have a small leak still but it’s from a previous repair on inner wing that someone’s done and not put seam sealer on. You can get them water tight! Any of your parts arrived yet? Get yourself a couple...

    Sealing roof gutters

No was a while ago. I put it on the a pillar, chamfered into the end of the gutter trim if you can picture that. It then ran down to the back of front wing/bulkhead gutter. It didn’t look all that great but I didn’t care. Basically it kept water coming off the roof and down the screen from...
