The glass will move freely, it is as if it has come off the end of a thread. The motor runs ok, it just seems as though it's not connected to the glass Sorry I didn't explain very well in my first post.

The mirror glass is moving when it shouldn't be, I can hear the motor running but it wont move the glass in and out, just up and down. Any ideas or is it a new one? Cheers

How will I know in what sequence to put the numbers when I get the new ones? Is there a manual or will the Land Rover dealer let me know and will I have to change them after every journey? Many thanks :D:D

The other week my mileometer was due to go to 100 k but didn't turn it just stopped on all the 9s. I thought it might just need a little help but there is no cable to slightly turn and the numbers wont move. Any thoughts? Its a 300Tdi, 1997 manual. Thanks

Another temporary fix is the epoxy metal available from most motor factors.

Hi I'm after a rear diff to propshaft flange, the one that connects the rear axle to the donut. Any idea where I might get one, other than Land Rover or the local scrappy. Thanks for looking.

I got the GKN one now. Not lifted at all, still standard. No serious off road but I do go across fields and along rough farm lanes regularly.

Sorry to jump on here but would this be the problem if all doors relock once unlocked with the fob? It does it two or three times every time before it unlocks properly?

Ok. This time I have gone for the GKN one not the cheap Paddocks one. How do I know which lugs line with which part of the donut? (I did mark them before I took the original one off so I know where they were originally but want to be doubley sure if at all possible) The three lugs are in line...

Hi I've just fitted a new donut and torqued up to 35lbs/ft as recommended in the Haynes manual. I've found I can still turn one of the bolts by hand after this. Does it need tightening more? It can't be right as it is can it? Cheers

Cheers. Don't use B&Q sealant, I got some decent stuff. Will do window and alpine but not bother with sunroof as there isn't one :D Thanks

You will also need to change your gas to pure Argon. Is your welder pulsed? If not you will have to "push" the weld along to stop too much heat getting into the ali and burning through.
