Well I've replaced the knackered track rod end and sorted out the damper. It still pulls but not as much as before. I'm now thinking tyre or tracking related :confused:

If the hubs knackered there is a bloke up this way breaking a 300 tdi, still got the axles as far as I know. If that's any good to you.

We tried at the beginning of last month but there was still a lot of snow on it.

I was pleasantly suprised at the way my standard disco coped, It went places I didn't think it could and is more capable than I am at the moment.

It pulls to the left when I am driving not just on braking. I'll get it all stripped down over the weekend and hopefully see whats what. Cheers all. :)

Right place right time

While changing wheels today I noticed some play in the driversr side front hub. I tightened up the bearings and took it for a spin and it pulled to the left, not badly but enough. I stripped the hub down and checked the bearings etc, put it all back together, noticed one of the lugs had snapped...

Was that descent 1st gear high or low box? Looks like you had fun :)

Ta I just turned the tyre upside down and it looked exactly the same.

Just a quickie:eek: Are Insa Turbo Dakars directional? They are similar to bfg muds (or so I am told) and I thought mud tyres had to be fitted the correct way so they dig in and grip. Cheers

Rutland still had snow at the weekend 6/7 you could get down but not up unless you have a winch or waffle boards/ladder. :)
