Way to go on getting it all back together!. Just a few questions. Handbrake on, car obviously in neutral, engine running. What happens when you slowly open the throttle by hand?. Does it fart about?. Did you get the right timing belt for your tensioner (Manual or Auto)?. Bit concerned...

+1 on all of the above. If all above found to be ok, i have the feeling it is the start of a gearbox issue. More feedback would be nice though.

Do you have a slight metallic rattling when turning left?. Is there any underlying noise with this vibration?.

Hi Trev, If you have done all the stuff advised on here, have you actually tried to clear the faults?. Some machines show no faults, but will mysteriously clear "Something". Had a problem on mine with the amigo's, and had actually fixed the problem (tone ring offside rear), but the lights...

No probs old pal. Am sure you will crack it. Pulling the injectors out is a piece of wee if you need to.

VDO sorry, my bad. Its been a while since i did mine. I had to get a LR one in the end, as it was the only one that fitted properly for me at least. Didnt think about cleaning the old one. I suppose its possible. Does the pump sound normal when you turn the ignition on?...not louder or strange?.

Sounds like it may be one of a couple of things Ian. If yours has an original VDU (think its VDU anyway) pump, you have to use the correct fuel filter cannister. The ones off flea bay don't seem to fit properly, and can let in air. Check your installation again. You may have disturbed a...

That was a strange one!. I would have said fuel pump or fuel cut off switch as well. Suppose it makes sense though if you consider the battery was disconnected and all was well before the door work. Surprised the starter motor didn't complain. :confused:
