    Juddering while driving

And that, as they say is a whole new story!. Top tip on that one from my point of view is don't mess around with the fixing/wire kits, they are a pain in the ass and the little final drive cog is usually stuffed by the motor. Get a complete scrapper regulator with motor off the bay, or...

    car vibration

No worries on the sort of help. You take it easy old pal, they are only ferking cars and life is too short. Audi S8 D2 project for me soon. Has problems from the tail lights to the head light bulbs. Be lovely when its done..if ever.

Which first, HG or Clutch or engine out and both at the same time?

+1 on that. Payen all the way. Job done. He is probably using a JIT/ drop ship system for certain parts to save on stock lying around costs. Not actually in stock, so sent from a central supplier maybe. These mongolian fake Payen gaskets are a bit of a worry, apparently the market is...

Anyone bought a Britpart rear silencer?

They are supposed to have a lifetime guarantee Doug . I even jet wash mine with all this bleeding salt around! (anal or wot!?) :)

    car vibration

Thanks for the feedback :) Have seen this before, but usually rather strangely with a slight metallic rattle turning left only (had already fitted new drive shafts etc). 2 months later the gearbox went U/S big style. It was noticeable in a power on, power off situation with an almost tingling...

Nice one! :) Have fun, and good luck.

New fuel filter, now running worse. 1.8 petrol.

Yea, it is quite easy. A couple of 8mm bolts and some fiddly clips on the injector loom (easy to lose!). No need to disconnect the fuel line. Take the injectors out carefully and spray the baskets upside down so the crap can fall out. Be prepared that the carb cleaner will take the paint off...

Would still be tempted to pull the injectors out and blast the injectors/injector rail with carb cleaner if you haven't already done so. I think its something you are going to need to do anyway just to be sure there is nothing in the line (usually like a black silt).

    Juddering while driving

Have to agree on the timing etc, but it does have to be spot on. Something isn't right, and as mentioned, that is a very noisy engine head wise. Its one of those cases you just want to be there and check it out further.

:D laff on the exhaust flappers...and "Primary exhaust"...:D May i suggest the new must have oil burner accessory?. It is available in this rather fetching yellow...

I dont know!, look at all the smog coming out of the back of both cars!! You oil burners have a lot to answer for :) My 1.8 is super clean with its new cat and O2 sensor. In a drag race situation, it would only ever produce environmentally friendly steam :D

    Juddering while driving

Ok, see what you come up with. You know what these engines are like...everything has to be "Just So" or the things just wont run right. I have (luckily) never had this issue after a head job, so hopefully we can get a few more members on the case before long if needed.

    Juddering while driving

Either IAC or TPS (on throttle body) may be worth a clean. That is quite a noisy engine, am not sure all is well on the hydraulic tappet department. Re check the timing, and see where you go from there. You have an engine light on as well. Maybe worth checking the O2 sensor wiring and...

    Juddering while driving

That is surprising, there is usually a bit of slack to spare. See how you get on.
