What have you done to your Freelander today

Paranoia? Who mentioned that? Why does it always come up in my threads? Remember just cos you're paranoid don't mean they aren't out to get you. And nick your Freelander stuff like my old jacket and boots...and I have filled it with scorpions trained to attack any hands that are not greasy...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Today fitted MuddyMods silencer for TD4. God bless angle grinders and other power tools. Old one off; new one on like a glove, Replaced all rubber hangers, cleaned up anything that I had not previously seen because of the humoungous old silencer. Looks and sounds gorgeous. Then fitted two metal...

What have you done to your Freelander today

That's another one of those jobs that I start doing thinking 'looks alright what can go wrong?' . My wife laughs at me now when I say 'will only take an hour' . If I made my living fixing Freelanders I would be a lot thinner. And poorer.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Yesterday I changed the IRD oil finally, checked and glad I did the gearbox oil and topped that up as very low, greased all the gearchange linkage and all suspension links. Big dent in the metal sump guard I have made and put on made me glad I had done that too. Loosened silencer bolts in prep...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Today I got the MOT on my 06 TD4 FL . Failed on Weds needing the track rod ends and steering joint replaced so all done, retested and passed and also driving very well. I have ordered Muddy Mods rear silencer as a celebration. Also have worked out a way to secure rear load space solid shelf...

    Silencer removal?

Yes. A Defender would be good. I would like something with some really mean unyet subtle protection, like really serious bull bars that cars would bounce off when they threw themselves at me. I have nudge bars but really more show than go. Don't get me wrong I am not wanting to attack anyone...

    Silencer removal?

Nice one I have ordered one but I didn't know of the dying duck noise but my ears have lost a bit of range I think. Which is nice. Yeah, having a FL is a learning curve indeed and I have done the same as you with much the same results I think. You can work on a FL that's for sure. It is the...

    Silicone Turbo Hoses.

Keep them then pass them to the next owner as 'extras' for free. Along with this forum's name. And everything else you have kept that you have replaced.

What have you done to your Freelander today

It looks good to me. I would have thought it would go for more? If it doesn't I am going to really stop putting expensive crap on mine

    Silencer removal?

Hi mate; I am also considering the Muddy Mods exhaust. I have a couple of questions if you have a moment; Does it sound much different and/or louder? I do appreciate your hearing may not be so good after Motörhead though. Also; Do you notice any power difference at all? Sure does look tucked up...

What have you done to your Freelander today

SWEET haha nice one thanks dude. I will definitely get those rocket launchers on. Someone else said they look like the machine guns on a Hawker Hurricane. Which frankly also works for me. I shall pretend to be shooting as I drive along like a fighter plane. Maybe could draw a sight on the...

    Freelander 1 Diff bushes

Yes I thought that could well be it and also the only thing for the MOT pass is track rod ends so they will help too I am sure. Surprised me the difference with the diff though. Everything feels really tight, and I replaced the rear brake shoes as well so brakes good and sharp too. Also just...

Today I managed to finally free the IRD filler plug with a bolt remover socket so I can finally change the oil!!!! Failed MOT on track rod ends but will get them done and retested on Friday so happy days. Running very well at the moment. Got Freelander driving light pod kit to fit at weekend...

    Freelander TD4 2005

Good work dude. My least favourite stuff is bodywork repairs I have never got on with them. Also being a bit colour blind doesn't help. I got some touch up paint for the door but can't really tell if it matches or not anyway haha.

    Freelander TD4 2005

Yeah, I should have done that but didn't really get the whole thread thing and it recently did occur to me when I did that I kind of cacked up your thread as well so I am sorry about that! It did make me smile that every time I looked you were doing or had done the same sort of thing I was!! And...
