Buying a Freelander 1 with propshaft removed

Definitely look around for a complete one. There are currently nine 2004 FL1 on autotrader. First easy check is the MOT history.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Our Amazon deliveries usually say "handed to resident", but in reality just left on the doorstep. I often put that in the feedback with a photo, as that's the one thing Amazon actually checks before they allow the comments to be visible !!

    Freelander 1 Freelander EV

Or just have a timer on the charge outlet at home so there's no power until 2am ? Add an override so you can still charge at other times if required. The car then cannot charge until 2am.

P38A What are the best alloys?

My answer to the original question is, whatever you like best, cos I don't care. These are mine (don't have better pics):

    New l405 headlights

And therein lies the problem. With so many brighter headlights all our eyes automatically reduce sensitivity, hence pushing so many toward brighter lights !! It's a viscious circle. If all headlights were under a sensible maximum, them all of us would see better as our eyes acclimatise...

    Freelander 1 Freelander EV

Could you use a clutch switch to disable regen when changing gear ? There must be a mount for one to allow for peeps that added cruise when purchasing new ?

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I'm guessing the 2.5 DT uses metric bolts. Doubt ARP do studs for them, but you never know ? Best to get a new set of stretch bolts.

    P38A Ignore this.

How can we ignore a thread with that title . . . .. especially with 138 views already ??

    L405 Reverse light upgrade

Similar issue on my Son's Jag XF. Some of the LED's in the indicator had failed so only 75% works, but it caused the other end to flicker when operating. We had to replace the entire cluster with the indicator, stop & tail rather than a simple bulb. Yet another silly examply of "progress".

    Stuck thermostat inline mod

Good idea. I've got some Loctite thread sealer that I've used on both air & fluid fittings, so will remember to do that.

I use one of those Amazon pressure tester kits. Wroks just as well for finding leaks, and to measure the normal running pressure.

    Stuck thermostat inline mod

BTW, that wasn't my photo !! Found it somewhere in this forum. Got two of these sitting in my office waiting to be fitted to wife's & son's TD4's. 1-1/4" flanges, so hopefully should fit. £20 each from China.

P38 new problem with abs and traction fault

Last time I did one, it was easier to fit if you hold the brake pedal down while doing it. Be careful not to break the switch tabs of it will fall out again !!

    Stuck thermostat inline mod

@Adam131 Which way round did you put the stat ? It needs to have the heat sensing part facing the engine.

    L322 Viscous Fan Speed

I'm regularly working with next geneartion techology trials in my job, like the idea of progress, but on my cars I prefer to remain in the in the "keep it simple" camp. The 5000rpm to join traffic in this post made me laugh...

    Driver door won’t open

If it's predominantly the drivers door, maybe park the car 180 degrees around. Then it should be the oposite rear passenger door ??

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Done nothing with either of mine today. Last night about 7pm the windscreen was covered in ice inside & outside.

    Other Deep water

Here's my son's Jag being recovered. From the mud remaining, you can see it was completely imersed !! Ignore the music . . . his girlfriend took the video from inside her car.
