My injector pump is pouring fuel - 200tdi

May have got the wrong side cover looks to be the cover furthest form the engine rather than the one on thw inside. Have managed to get some pics of it running below. Do we think the stream of fuel is coming out the bottom side of the cover or from somewhere else?

    Keep Losing Alternator belt tension

Now fitted, tensioned up nicely with ease and on my own. Just need to see how well it performs and keeps Tension now. But that needs to wait until my injection pump is no longer pouring fuel out the side of it!

My injector pump is pouring fuel - 200tdi

Is a boost ring worth the effort? I have heard of it before but have no expiriance either way.

My injector pump is pouring fuel - 200tdi

Many thanks. Not something I am going to be able to fix in the work car park. But an easy fix once I am home and have ordered the correct o-rings. Much better than being a castrophic failure inside the pump! Will just be an expensive and un-motorbike friendly drive home along the motorway!

    Leaking fuel filler hose

I was going to rant and be very unhappy that it is still leaking. But I now have an injector pump pouring fuel (LINK) so am unsure if the fuel on the filler begins from the filler neck or from the pump that has covered everything underneath and the back door! I will recite the filler neck once...

My injector pump is pouring fuel - 200tdi

My fuel pump has decided it does want to have fuel on the inside any more. I appear to be pumping fuel out of the cover circled below. Is this something that I can repair myself or is this a terminal failure and I need to send it off for rebuild.

Who actually makes the defender repair panels?

Is it still financially worth buying panels, repairing you old one, and then getting acid and hot dip galved? I have a bulkhead that is salvageable but needs some repair and am trying to work out if it is worth it or not. The price of new ones has come down (and you can now get them) you can...

    New owner

In the spirit of education I am going to be even more pedantic than @bluedog333. It is not "90" it is Ninety. When these first came out in the '80's there were referred to as Land Rover One Ten, Land Rover Ninety, and Land Rover One Two Seven. the numbers came along with the defender name, but...

    Leaking fuel filler hose

Well I gave up trying to find what was leaking and fired the parts cannon at it, new filler neck, new foam gasket, new clamps on fuel filler pipe and breather pipe, new fuel filler pipe, all joints coted in hylomar blue before assembling. Only the breather is not new but that is only a couple of...

Rear Body Repairs - Best Way Forward?

I would remove the stuck bolt and get a wire wheel on it before decideing it is BER. you may find a lot of the mess is the bolt and washer rather than the bracket. But if it is the YRM panel is likly to be what you want and you then need to decide if you want to replace with solid rivet or pop...

    SLICKSHIFT

I think this is a key here as well. I had a friend with one fitted and I hated it. But my daily drive for the last 18 years has been an stock lt77 so th normal gear change is what I am used to, what expect a land rover to feel like, and what I have adapted my driving and gearchange style to...

    Paintwork

As you have observed galv does not prevent it slows down. Galv should also be painted in my opinion rather than left bare for the chassis and the bulkhead. to give extra protection. If you want the bare galv look you can get clear oils that will protect it, it is not something I am hugely...

Rear Body Repairs - Best Way Forward?

The corner panels are just surface rust from the pictures and do not need replacement. Just give them a good rub down, treat with rust converter, and then prime and paint. The b pillar repair is detailed in the yrm workshop Section along with the floor and seatbelt mount repair (what I need...

    Keep Losing Alternator belt tension

Little update, I finally got around to looking into parts for this properly. Was cheaper to order the parts individually on ebay than get one ready made up if people are interested this is what I have bought: LINK1, LINK2, LINK3, LINK4, total price £23.08 inc postage, could have made it cheaper...

    Immobiliser reset

Don't take this the wrong way but a new member asking how to bypass the immobiliser is not the way to get a huge response from people here and will be viewed with caution and suspicion. Maybe a little more information about the vehicle and how the failure happened would help? Similar to the...

    Ex military 90 soft top 1994 - 300TDi conversion

Put up some pictures of the areas you describe, Everyone likes [pictures, but will help us see what you are talking about. For a 300tdi the air filter should be on the left as you face the engine but if the engine is sitting further back it may not fit. As long as your current intake system is...

Disco 2 Transfer box in a 300 TDi 90 CSW

I am going to come out with the opposite view to the above. I have a 1.2 fitted to mine and it is great. However I will caveat that with a couple of things. I live in the midlands, not the Welsh or Scottish mountains, I have an early LT77 from a TD fitted which I believe has different gearing to...
