Buying my first Defender in the next month or so.

Well, a bit of an update. I was going to drive around four hours to have a look at Walton Motors' showroom in Cranleigh over the weekend. They had a couple of 90's I liked the look of. A yellow Safari Edition and a more Conservative Coniston green 90. My aunt lives in Sandhurst so was going to...

    Advice?! Walton motors - Cranleigh

There is a difference between doing general maintenance and buying replacement parts and then major structural issues and other serious defects with the chassis that's what I was getting at. Everyone tells me the age of a Defender generally doesn't matter all too much, it's all down to...

    Advice?! Walton motors - Cranleigh

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread. I was going to drive four hours to have a look at their showroom over the weekend as they had a couple I liked. A yellow Safari Edition and a more Conservative Coniston green 90. A friend of mine said to run reg plates in the MOT checker, lot of...

Buying my first Defender in the next month or so.

Buying my first Defender in the next month or so.

Well I’m 28 and a single guy so have no real family commitments right now. The 110 is nice and deep down I do prefer it, but sadly a bit too big for my driveway. I plan to park around the back of my house and a 90 will fit in a space around the back hidden from street view. Frustraingly a 110...

My top choice now is definitely a 300TDI as you just seem to get examples in much better condition for your money at the moment:

Buying my first Defender in the next month or so.

Good morning all, New to the forums, but I’ve been doing research on Defenders since around February/March of this year and I’ve casually wanted one since high school lol. It’ll be my first Land Rover, but I live rural in Yorkshire a stone's throw away from the Dales. I know several people...
