Nah it's the other rod behind the axle linking the two hubs. One end has a left hand thread the other end has a right hand thread on the track rod ends, when you turn the track rod you either unscrew or screw up the track rod ends making the track rod longer or shorter.

I din't think it was standard but the switch looked unmolested, till I got me mits on it. I reckon it's probly off a petrol model an the glow plug position would be the sarter position. I kinda like the button start bit, It's easier to find in an hurry.

Dunno if it's standard but my '89 90 only has three positions off, on an glow plugs, the engine start is on a button. An there int a relay for the glow plugs. The switch int designed to come apart but with a bit of bending an prizing an some solder an emery paper it's mendable.

If it is yer swivel bearings then you'll only get play top to bottom not side to side, Though it is hard to feel cos you've got to support the weight of the wheel an waggle it at the same time.
