I'd spray the bare bits with etch primer an then go over the lot with an ornery primer.

    Electrolysis and rust

Depends on how far your stripping the paint back. It's realy for bare metal, ally or steel, that int to say you can't use it on already painted surfaces. An you only need one coat.

    Electrolysis and rust

Etch primer, It's an acid based paint an it etches into the ally. You can get it from most body shop supplies ask for "etch primer" or "acid etch primer".

Oil ****in Out Me Landy But Where's It Comin From?

I reckon the fost one is the front cover to block gasket an the second is the front cover gasket. But I also reckon that if oils coming out of them gaskets it's cos one of the seals have gone inside the covers, the gaskets are there more to stop ****e getting in than oil getting out.

    LR 90 Gearbox Oil Type

Yes there is. Its a gear pump in the fifth gear extension, the drain plug in the extension is immediatly below it and the pump draws it's oil through a filter above the drain plug an squirts it down the middle of the gearbox main shaft and out through the roller bearings.
