look on top of the pedal there is a plastic tube put your hand on the pedal and look upwards, you will see a piston, I sprayed a bit of wd40 on mine and has been fine for the last six month`s, hope this helps if not somebody else might be able to help more.

the britpart ball joints I bought the rings keep popping off and the grease comes out.

took it for its mot .it [PASSED]:D and no welding, must be made from better quality steel than defenders:p

HI Robin fl2 have just checked mine and it doesn`t have one, it could possibly be a vent pipe from a previous battery. I found a similar one in the bottom of the battery tray when I changed the battery. but somebody might come on later to prove me wrong as usual lol.

mine is rusting on the front edge of the bonnet,from the inside and bubbling the paint .

gave mine a once over for the mot at the end of month, found both track rod end`s I fitted last year from s**t part :mad: had grease leaking from them,both of the rings had popped off letting the grease leak out. managed to get the ring`s back on for now,and cleaned off excess grease,will look...

I had the problem only once even with fob removed it was still working , so I removed relay it was very hot, so tapped it with a spanner and replaced it. twelve months later and it still works. oh s**t just tempted fate :oops:

has he interfered with the selector mechanism on the gearbox in any way?

no problem mate I have the oil runnlng down the pipe all the time .I just clean it off and carry on. as for the sump there must be somebody on here who has done it, I am sure somebody was on not long ago. just can`t remember who it was.

are u sure it is the sump, and it isn`t oil dripping down from the plastic inlet pipe that runs to the turbo, just a thought with it being a common fault.saying that I have also had the rusty sump problem and sorted it before it got any worse. p.s you can tell me to p**s off if you want:)
