    Fuel Pickup Filter

Our 2a had a mesh on the filler neck, mind you it was so coarse even small twigs could get through it!

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Very rarely, infact I never have. Really you should be looking at changing it every couple of years or so..

    Fuel Pickup Filter

It does seem like strange logic for one to have a filter and the other doesn't.

    Fuel Pickup Filter

There is nothing on the Ninety, I'm not sure they actually had them. Maybe the petrol version had one?

    Disco 2 Centre diff lock

Yes, typical nonsense from Land Rover. My son has factory fitted CDL on his.

Half shaft seals failing repeatedly Discovery 2

Great, so in reality unless it's in an actual branded box (Delphi for example)then the item is just a cheapy regardless of whatever random letter it has at the end?

    Disco 2 Centre diff lock

High and low are of little consequence of the CDL. I presume on a D2 you would have to fit a new linkage and lever if you didn't previously have a center diff lock.

Half shaft seals failing repeatedly Discovery 2

So, the chances are the OEM or G (which is just made up nonsense unless it is in a Land Rover box) is no different than the cheaper version 🤔

Black smoke on putting my foot down

Well I guess it all depends on your mot tester, put it in for a mot and see what happens or book it in for a emissions test. That is the only way you will get a real answer.

Td5 discovery 2 struggling to start and running rough

You could check fuel pressure if you buy a guage, will be a thread about it somewhere. Did it run fine before it broke down? We fitted a vdo pump which was £320, Land Rover a couple of hundred quid more.

Black smoke on putting my foot down

They have a throttle stop which is a threaded bolt you wind in and out. If you have been messing around with your injection pump you will have seen this. Wind it in so it will only do 2000rpm if you are worried. If you are really worried then you shouldn't have messed around with your pump. You...

    Amigos and new friend!

Yes thats the thing, bit stressful thinking what if it went wrong but it all went OK.

    Amigos and new friend!

Son had 3 Amigos which we fixed doing the shuttle valve mod. Strangely it turned into 4 Amigos once, I hadn't plugged a cable in near the ABS pump! We have Foxwell and it diagnosed the above fault and MAF sensor using live data.

Td5 discovery 2 struggling to start and running rough

Could be injector seals/washers. Could be fuel filter or housing. Or fuel pressure regulator. If it was running fine before pump died and now it doesn't then it may still be pump related, especially if it is a cheap one. My son had an issue where it didn't start well and ran rough, we changed...

    1989 Ninety heater oddity.

On a quick look this plug goes to the heater fan I think? So for diagnosis can I use the green wire for a live and black for earth?

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

The closed length is different, as the axle moves the prop will lengthen or shorten. If not going off road it might not matter so much.

Good, presumably the noise has gone?
