I use both a main isolator frim the battery on the main power cable as well as a small switch isolator so that if I knock the in/out switch accedentally it doesn't wind in the winch :)

Mud tyre, 35 inch diameter 16 inch rim. Apart from that doesnt really matter width wise but 12.5 is prefered

just replace with new. they're not expencive

if you're changing the shocks it doesnt matter what you do to it. grip it tight and give it some whale untill it either comes undone or the shaft shears
