    Each to their own, but it wont be a Series Land Rover anymore really...will only look like one from the outside - which is the bit you least see when you are driving it! You would be better off getting a Defender...to me a Defender which is not pretending to be anything else has more charm than...

    Progressing nicely now... All hinges now made up for the front compartements. Have made this section unboltable...the reason being is that the "bulkhead" between these compartments will be ply...which no doubt will need replacing in years to come...with this section removable it makes that...

    I think it is because your tyres are too big for the car :p Or maybe your wheels are the wrong offset? Your tyres dont actually look that big? Yeah...get the grinder out if you want to keep the tyres

    Go to an independant garage who will take things on face value and not read from a sheet that anything non standard is not workable.

    I fitted an 80A from a Range Rover V8i...tenner from a scrap yard...fits fine with a little bracketry adjustment and I can run the stadnard size LR belt. I beefed up the wiring as a matter of course.

    Hi Kev. One simple thing to try - check the AFM. If it is the flapper type, this can get stuck open causing that effect.

    It is a bit :) But I reckon when you have done it once, next time becomes much easier! I had my box out 4 times, lol! And genuine parts...get them if you can afford them!
