I was just thinking i get the hub and studs and the rest is the same?

Hello. I have a 63 SWB S2a with the older style (small stud) hubs. I want to change t the later (larger studs) for various reasons. Can you think of any reason why not? I cant think of anything but perhaps I am missing something blindly obvious. Cheers :D

Well, that depends. If it is any one of the above or even all of the above that is wrong with the box, then no, if that fixes the problem. If by "rebuild" you mean take cogs and stuff out, then yes. If you mean replacing lots of the parts, then possibly not. I would personally strip it out and...

Did you lot have fun? I ended up picking up a new car! And landie needs a new front hub. And making a weird whirring noise now and then (I am thinking diff). Will soon investigate!

Is it a carb V8? Use a couple of marigolds with tie-wraps on the dizzy if you dont want to buy a "kit" :). We have done quite a few things on the RR V8 to make it water-tight-ish but mainly because its an EFI...so relocation of bits, sealed but breathable boxes for things and so on.
