Jeepers - 40k! I wonder why that is! My laddie is about to enter the wonderful world of motoring. He was quoted 4 1/2k for insurance for a 1.0 cross, worth £1200. My first car cost me £325 to insure, on a £300 car! But that was in the dark ages......
