Historic 90...or not.

I was seeing if the historic part was different to the tax part. It's clear that the tax needs another year but I wanted to know if I can register it as historic for other reasons. That part was not clear.
It is clear to me now that the historic vehicle wording has nothing to do with a car being 40, it's all about tax. Club has told me to show the gaydon document I have, so it's academic now. Please don't stress about it, I was seeking clarity from anyone who has done it.
I get what you were asking, even if some don’t !!!
You’re not bothered about not paying or paying tax. You’re only asking if your car is “officially” a historic vehicle as it is “actually” 40 years old and you can then enter it in historic car rally’s etc. The government might not recognise it as such, but event organisers might.

Historic status comes with £0 (zero rate) Road Tax. There is no separation, as is clearly stated on the .gov website.
