There are many possible issues with greatly upping the power of what are " old " 200 tdi's.

I think the bigger tyres you have will make it feel gutless no matter what you do to the engine. My 90 had 265/75/16 tyres on, was a bit cr4p over 60. Had a disco 300tdi and running gear fitted (higher ratio tb) which didn't help.

You need to get your detective hat on, check earth straps then check you have not melted the handbrake cable.

The std earth strap set up is pretty crap, they modded it for the 300 which was better, but still not perfect, you cannot have to many earths
