just got back from driffield this afternoon, not a bad show, but it has been better. could have been more stalls selling new stuff instead of all the second hand dealers that were there. weather not the best, rain then sun, rain then sun, never mind. done 2 runs on the off road coarse which was good, nice big coarse that one. roll on peterborough:D

this year was rubbish compared to other years, alot of traders missing and nothing going off in the arena in the day. compared to billing last year where somthing going off all day and plenty of things going off in the evening for the campers. yes defo a let down this year compared to other years, (well for me anyway)
.....chris...

went down on sunday (quite a drive from northumberland) and managed to get all the bits I was looking for at great prices. :)

Since it was my first time there I have no idea whether it was a good show or not... but I enjoyed myself tremendously and so did 4 year old daughter

Didn't get to go on the off-road course though... ran out of time.

I travelled down yesterday from Sunderland and whilst I did not think it was bad (mainly because i got a load of stuff for my Disco) there felt like their ws something missing.:(

I have been to the last 4 shows, mainly going down in Mrs H's Freelander's and more recently Freelander 2.

This year was the only year we have not been in a Land Rover and not been on the off road couse so i dunno if this is what was missing for me.

Also I usually come back with about 200 pictures of all sorts and this year i dont even think i got 10.

This year i am gonna try and get to Billing, depending on the Disco being ready and i am looking forward to it!

compared to billing last year I've got to agree it was a let down, went to try to get a good deal on a 2" lift kit, but lack of stalls made it impossible.

Mate and I went and were pleased that they had a token system for the Land Rover only part of the car park. If you didn't give them your token back you couldn't take Landy out. However, when we got to pay slot to get in it cost us 15 pounds each instead of the 12 pounds that had been stated on some advert blurb we had seen. Not too bothered about the extra 3 quid but should have been stated. When we went for a bacon sandwich we were told they only did them around breakfast time so I settled for a cheeseburger and a cup of tea. I was busy talking to someone at the time and only noticed when I got my change that it had cost me 9 pounds. A bit much but I suppose these catering vans have got a captive audience. Next time I will take my own snap.
