P38 2.5D N reg correct oil please

Could some one let me know the correct grade of oil please?
Oh and a cheap source

It will do but you need 9.5 litres for oil change.

Try this 20l gives you two changes and some for top up @Grrrrrr will know if it right one

9.5 litres 10w 40 is the general used. 2 x 5litres incase you spill some or need a top up

Cheap oil is false economy, the user manual specifies 5W30 or 5W40 ACEA A3:96 or ACEA B3 :96 or above, 5W40 gives the widest recommended temperature range. Iighter oil gets round quicker from cold, engine is easier to turn over & start etc.

Use at least semi synthetic, mineral oil does not like turbos. If you do use mineral oil, change it more often. 10 W 30 is recommended for our climate 10 W 40 for higher ambient temps. 5 W 30 5 W 40 is only needed if you live in Alaska.

Yes, semi-synthetic 10/40w. Diesel version normally has more cleaner. Recently I've been getting it off Eurocarparts whenever they have a 50% or 75% offer on - most weekends! Same price and I can get it delivered free.

Thanks got it for £13ish from Euro via Ebay delivered

I use shell helix7. It's a good oil and not mega bucks over here.

You know very well young man, nothing is cheap about RR's. Even the "series 3" with nicer seats known affectionately as the RR classic..

Shell Helix or Total 9000 for me, whichever is on offer at the time
