Door problem 2004 HSE td6

I've recently bought a 2004 HSE td6.the passenger door would not open.so with help from here I got the door open and fitted new door lock mechanism.and the door still won't lock or unlock nothing.any help would be great please.ive read a few bits resetting ecu.or could it be electrical.help please

The cables between the A post and the door can break. Diagnostics would help.

Mine always tells me my passenger door mirror heater isn’t working when I plug it in so I would say yes.
you will need diagnostics for many other problems so you may as well start now.
As datatek says, the cable can break between the body and the door in the rubber sleeve.
My door stopped working and no diagnostics picked up on it and it was only when I removed one of the fuses and replaced it it started working again. Can’t remember which one though.
Might be worth following the battery disconnect procedure and trying that, but that can cause its own problems ..

Yep. I'm with Datatek on this one. By using diagnostics you can force the window & door mirrors. If this fails then it will be a broken wire. Diagnostics cannot pull up a broken wire fault.
