I’m lookin at a 2’’ lift kit for disco 2 td5 and was wondering weather to go for light duty or heavy duty most I pull in it is my quad on a trailer and I’m keeping the air bags in somone told me if I put light duty in and then a winch bumper it will drop to standard height due to the weight how true is this? Main thing I’m looking for is ride height and comfort so don’t want to go heavy if it’s going to bounce all over the road.

Medium duty, don't fit lift springs unless you are going to alter the height sensors for the air bags. Medium duty springs will absorb a winch and bumper without fuss, main reason being that the springs fitted now are old and saggy, new springs will pep it up to proper height, winch and bumper will sit it back down to what you have now.

Blocks to lift the rear air suspension by 2 inches are available as a kit which also contains a pair of adapter plates to bring the ride height sensors back into the normal operating parameters. Before you do decide to fit a lift, I'd advise you to have a read of this:-

LR have provided information on the front springs suitable for use on the D2 when a winch is fitted:-
